What is Hymn of Unity?

Hymn of Unity is an independant anime series that takes place in modern-day Japan. The culture is similar to a very diverse community in America, containing many different sorts of people. The story revolves around an unorthodox man (Naoko Ono) who is in control of a mythical pair of headphones that grant him abilities (Mind control, physical strength, etc.) at the cost of his memory and previous life. Along the way of his recuperation, he meets a German Neo-nazi (Roland Baumgaertner) who attempts to buy his apartment; They both soon become close friends. A few years have passed later on and they struggle to live in a community that is slowly drowning in frequent crime activity and drug deals. Will things look grim in the future, or will Roland and Naoko presevere?
